Hey

You just earned an earnest 10/10 here dawg. This song is so crazy, I feel like it should follow me around everywhere. It's very serene and yet a tinge of sadness is hung with it. It reminds me of Phantasy Star Online 1&2, Legend of Legaia and the Mother series (especially Mother 3) which are all major influences on my music. I'm a big fan of New Age music so this really took me away and lifted my mood when I watched the Monochrome Art Collab. Thanks for making such a great song!

Havegum responds:

Haha, thanks!
I appreciate it!

Hey wow!

I don't see how this is a forest 'lullaby' but on the other hand I don't see why this has a low score. This piece does remind me of the forest, for sure, but more of a... Panorama of a forest, an escape scene, or a boss battle in a videogame. Perhaps a name change is in order?

In any case, I enjoy this song! When I first started out making music solo about three years ago this is the kind of music I wished to create. Music that makes people think! Music that invokes deep thought without words.

There is only one part that I can think of that would possibly cause people to give you a low score here, which would be the transition at 2:12. The transition is very sudden and surprising, this could be causing people to feel stupid or inferior-- No I'm joking, haha. Generally, people don't like such a sudden and linear transition into the next part of a song like this but I, on the other hand, like that sudden change. It's kind of avant garde really so I don't see a reason to change it.

Ossikater responds:

I think I made it in 2 hours or so. But you have right. A name change could be in its order. I have taste for strange titles. And the sudden change is kinda off but I was new with the software at the time. Thank you for your wise words and the score!

Huh..

Well, it's good to see you got on the top 5, congrats. It's not really what I expected it to be but I'll give you points for being innovative. The breakdown is good and overall it's a pleasant remix. I'm just sad that there are no vocals and it is a little on the short side.

Well

I like it but, you claim that you wanted to make it more powerful. I'm not getting that kind of feel from it. In fact, it feels kind of weaker and a little synthetic. I suggest using a real guitar and maybe a more crunchy bass synth, maybe put some grungy sounding distortion on it. The drums could be the slightest bit louder, I'm not saying how loud they are is bad, I just feel like they could be a little louder.

Anyway, good job and don't stop trying.

Retrodelux responds:

maybe powerful wasnt the correct wording.. either way... simple remake of a awesome song...

Wow man

I love how everything you touch turns to fucking gold. Great job on the mix. It makes me think of videogame boss music.

maccormack responds:

Haha, oh flattery.
Thanks a lot man.

Yeah

I get that this is more of an interpretation but I just don't like it. No matter how many times I listen to it I just think you could have done a better job.

DmNt responds:

Don't feel bad if it sucks ass tell me, lol.

I'm gonna redo the whole thing I think. Improve percussion is top priority, and I'd like to add my own original arrangement in there to break off from the game version.

Nice

It's done pretty well. Don't worry about length, when it comes to this sort of thing, length is good. Good to hear someone else using live instrumentation and Audacity on here besides me.

Now, for what I picture:
It sounds like green. Green and dark where my strings are pulled back and almost broken. Corroded and grimey. There are fans blowing my hair and getting grime and soot all over my face. I can't see much anymore, there's too much shit on my eyes. I knocked over a clock in the darkness. I think it broke.

Kogasu responds:

Yeah, I just don't want people getting bored of it hehe but I guess if you're interested enough in it you can listen to the entire thing.

Nice visualization too hehe. I always wonder what other people visualize on different songs so yeah that's just kewl to me.

Thanks for your review! :D

ARE YOU SHITTIN' ME?!

People think this sucks? They can go to hell yo, I thought it was straight. I love it mang you keep up the good work.

I picture like a frozen machine or something. Like a machine that doesn't need heat to work and is covered in ice. Yeah?

SeeD419 responds:

Well at least someone out there understands me ;)

Much love.
