The book of Hebrews tells us that For the joy that was set before Him He endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the Father in Glory. What was the joy in going to the cross? The insane torture device that most people asphyxiated to death on while bearing excruciating agony... In fact we get the word "excruciating" to describe the pain of a cross.
The "joy" that Jesus saw was your face, your eyes, you as an individual. He looked up to where they'd hang Him and He saw you and said "You are worth this". His death on the cross pays for our sins and His resurrection is the proof that He is victorious over sin, death and the devil.
All you have to do to receive this free gift of salvation is believe in your heart that His death pays for your sins and that He rose from the dead and receive Him as Lord and Saviour. You have to be willing to humble yourself as He did and say, "Father, not my will, but Yours be done". He can't be Saviour without being Lord, that is a non sequitur (nonsense).
Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and you shall be saved. Romans 10:9
So what's holding you back? What are you holding onto that you think is worth more than your soul? That you would take eternity in darkness and bitter agony and burning forever to keep for this short life? Nothing in this world is worth that.
Come to Jesus today for today is the day of salvation.
